About
SpamKiller was my first big, full Java programming venture. I
first started working on it back in 2003, and it has yet to be fully
completed. I guess I just got kind of burnt with Java after a
while. I really need to get back to to my work on Java
programming - it was really fun and challenging.
SpamKiller is a simple little
space-shooter game where you shoot down cans of Spam and "Spamurai".
It's been through about four version revisions, some of them
fairly major. At one point, I had a "fully functional"
version of SpamKiller - i.e. it did everything it was programmed to do,
and some things it wasn't. It was really buggy, but it
implemented everything I wanted it to implement, at the expense of
quite a few glitches. The current version looks really nice,
and is completely, 100% free of glitches due to rigorous switch()
sequences, but it's also not finished. I'm really close, I
just need to program the boss battle and some sequential files stuff,
but since it's been about four years since I looked at it, the
completion date lies someplace in the foggy future. I do
intend to finish it someday, eventually. We'll see.
If
I ever get around to finishing the SpamKiller project, I'll see about
getting it into an .exe file and uploading the .java source code here
as well. Until then, this sidebar will remain pitifully
devoid of links.
