A while ago, Jman--8 and I decided it'd
be cool to make a music video for The Newspaper. All of the
movie-making credits go to Jman--8, who is much better at those things
than I am. I wrote the song and acted in the video, and he
put it together. I think he did a great job and made a funny

This Song
I sat down with my ukulele one day and
recorded this Hawaiian-style "bonus track" version of The Newspaper.
It's got a mellow feel to it, and even though it's
not officially on the Emissions Test album, I figured I'd put it here
for listening/download, because I like it so much.
About
I guess the inspiration for The Newspaper came from hearing
Weezer perform the four-part harmony classic My Evaline. I
had
also kind of wanted to record a barbershop quartet song for a while.
I sat down one night and in about the course of an hour and a
half, I had the lyrics for The Newspaper. I love the lyrics
and
the music (even though it's just I - IV - V) and it's one of my
favorites on the album.
